Judy Beam

Judy Kathleen Kauten Beam of Mason, TX went home on September 4, 2026 at the age of 81. Judy was born on November 17, 1944 to Alfred and Lucille Kauten, in Kansas City, KS. She attended Argentine High School and lived for a short period in San Diego, CA as a young girl.

Judy moved to Mason, TX where she married the love of her life Billy Beam, on August 9, 1961. She was a homemaker and eventually went on to work in the Cafeteria for the Mason School District, where she retired.

Judy had a passion for cooking, baking, and sewing. One of her biggest joys was making birthday cakes, especially for her grandkids. Family gatherings brought so many memories.

She is survived by son Mike Beam and wife Denise, daughters Lou Ann Reed and husband Johnnie, Teresa Thompson and husband Kenneth, Sarah Moellendorf and husband Ian, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, husband Billy Beam, one grandchild, and one great grandchild.

Visitation for family & friends will take place on Thursday, September 10th, 5-7 pm at Mason Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, September 11th, at 11:00 am at Mason Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are Stetson Stanley, Joshua Haines, James Reed, Jackson Moellendorf, Hayli Wells and Shane Cranford.  Honorary pallbearers are James Beam, Gene Beam, Roger Holley, Roy Morris, Tracie Coates and Tony Estes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mason County Cancer Benefit.
