Juana Arteaga of Fredonia passed away on December 1, 2013 at the age of 88 in her home surrounded by family.

She was born on may 23, 1925 to Jose and Herminia Ortega. She married Jose A. Arteaga on April 27, 1943 and had 70 years together. Juana was a loving mother a devoted wife, and a caring grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Family was an important part of her life she enjoyed cooking meals with her daughters and gathering the family together. A loving and caring soul who was always smiling.

Juana Arteaga is survived by her husband Jose Apolinar Arteaga of Fredonia, sons Ambrocio Jose Atreaga and wife Eva of Mason, Miguel Jose Atreaga and wife Barbara of Mason, Apolinar Atreaga Jr. and wife Herminia of Brady, Mario O. Arteaga of Fredonia, daughters Juana Garza and husband Reynol of Fredonia, Maria Obdulia Medellin and husband Federico Sr. of Mason. As well as 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Heminia Ortega a son Mario Arteaga, daughter Jacinto Arteaga and a sister Regina Ortega Garcia.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday December 2, 2013 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00pm wit a Rosary starting at 7:00p.m.

A procession will leave from Mason Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m to a
A Mass of Resurrection that will take place on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. .at St Joseph Catholic Church in Mason with burial to follow at Wagrum Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association the American Kidney Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
