Joyce Comer, of Mason, passed away on Thursday, March 26, at the age of 70. Mrs. Comer is survived by her husband, Gary Comer, of Mason, her aunt Oleta Kuhlmann, a brother-in-law Seth Comer and wife Brenda all of Mason, two nieces Donna Tally of Stephenville and Shelia Thomas and husband Craig of Combine along with numerous cousins and great- nieces and nephews.

Joyce was born in Mason on August 19, 1949 to Edmund "Eddie" Kuhlmann and Eloise Farmer Kuhlmann. She was raised in Mason and attended Mason schools. On June 17, 1966 Joyce married Gary Comer and they made their home in Mason. Joyce worked as a supervisor at the peanut plant and also worked in the school cafeteria. Later she attended beautician school and became a licensed beautician. She was co-owner of "The Hair Cottage" for several years.

Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church in Mason.

Funeral services were held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery on Sunday, March 29, at 2:00 p.m.

A meal and time of remembrance celebrating her life will be held at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall at a later date.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the First Baptist Church Crisis Fund or the Mason Volunteer Fire Department.
