Pastor Jon Weber Bielfeldt was called home Monday November 22, 2021 at the age of 76. Jon was born April 30, 1945 to Karl and Mildred Bielfeldt in San Antonio, TX. Jon grew up in Mason, TX and graduated from Mason High School in 1963. Outdoorsman, Pastor, Telephone Lineman, and many more titles held provided an opportunity to impact many lives.

Jon was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Kathy, and brother, Dan Bielfeldt. Jon is survived by children Jon Weber Bielfeldt II, Karl Bielfeldt, and Erin McReynolds; grandchildren Hahn Bielfeldt, Kaleb Bielfeldt, Caydence Bielfeldt, Konner Bielfeldt, Braden McReynolds, Ada McReynolds; sister Ann Younger; brother James Bielfeldt.

Jon spent 36 years working for Southwestern Bell and hardly missed a weekend to get back up to the family place in Mason or taking his kids out camping to the James River. During the same time Jon continued to pursue his vocation of ministry. That vocation would eventually turn into a calling after retiring from the phone company. Jon was ordained as a Lutheran pastor and has spent the past 17 years serving the congregation of St. John's Lutheran in Thrall. Reserved with words…Dad never spoke just to chat; Dad always spoke for impact!

There will be a viewing at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 28 ^th at St. John's Lutheran in Thrall, TX. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm. A second viewing will be held from 11:30 – 12:30 at the Mason Funeral Home, with the committal following at 1:00 pm at Gooch Cemetery in Mason, TX.
