Joe Wayne Bobbitt, of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, at the age of 27. Mr. Bobbitt is survived by his wife Courtney Bobbitt of Fredonia, four sons Devon, Joe N., Gunner, and Leroy all of Fredonia, his parents Joe C. and Mary Bobbitt of Fredonia, a sister Magen Durham of Fredonia and his grandparents Joe F. and Willie Bobbitt of Calvin, Oklahoma and Bill and Starr Gentry of Mason, numerous aunts and uncles including Mary Ring and Denise Wilson along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe Wayne was born in Ada, Oklahoma on May 13, 1982. He lived in Calvin, Oklahoma for 16 years and then moved to Texas. On February 15, 2002 he married Courtney Purser and they made their home in Fredonia. Joe Wayne was a talented, hard working man who could build anything from fences to metal buildings to houses. He enjoyed life and especially enjoyed the outdoors. He worked as a hunting guide and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles or just spending time outside. Joe Wayne also loved spending time with Courtney and with their children. He was a good husband, son, dad and uncle.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 13, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bethel Cemetery at Camp Air.
