Joan Coleman, 92, of Fayetteville, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2026, in La Grange,

Texas.

Born on October 19, 1933, in Malvern, England, Joan was the daughter of Arthur and Edith

Holt. She trained as a nurse at the Nightingale School of Nursing at St. Thomas' Hospital in

London before moving to Nairobi, Kenya, where she met the love of her life, Bryan

Coleman. Together they shared many adventures in Kenya, Connecticut, and Texas. It was

a wonderful life.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 61 years,

Bryan Coleman; her son, Carl Coleman and his wife, Donna Kay; and her grandson, Chase

Coleman.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Gooch Cemetery in

Mason, Texas.
