Jo Wandolyn Evans, of Camp Air, passed away on Friday, April 24, at the age of 76. Jo is survived by her husband Cotton Evans of Camp Air, 3 children Hal Evans and wife Bonnie of London, Paul Evans and wife Sylvia of Dublin and Gayle Evans Smart of Camp Air, 4 grandchildren Gary Evans and wife Karol of Camp Air, Justin Burch and wife Bandi of Mason, Zane Smart of Garland and Treva Smart of Camp Air and 7 great-grandchildren: Jodie, Alana and Jenna Evans, Zachary, Jaden and Asa Smart and Derrick Brady Burch. She is also survived by the following brothers and sister: Mack Taff and wife Marion of San Saba, Doris Jean Summers and husband Clifton of Midland and Wiley Leon Taff of London, TX.

Jo was born on May 25, 1932 in Eden, Texas to Wylie Taff and Katherine Laura Bolt Taff. She married Cotton Evans and their marriage was blessed with 3 children. Jo was a great help to Cotton on the farm, working side by side with him. She loved being outdoors and was an avid rock hound, hunting topaz and arrowheads. Jo also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and the flowers and hummingbirds in her yard. She was never one to judge others and as a result she was easy to talk to. Guests were always welcome in her home and could always count on a good home-cooked meal. Jo was a Christian woman and she was baptized in the Llano River.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, April 27, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bethel Cemetery at Camp Air with Mack Taff officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Thomas Earl Davis, Gary Evans, Justin Burch, Clinton Bishop, B.H. Nobles, Steve Gamel and Zane Smart. Honorary pallbearers are David Evans Sr., Logan Davis, Dennis Woods, Jackie Blair, David Evans Jr. and Gene Kidd. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
