Obituary

Jimmie Louise Schmidt went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born January 06, 1941, in Brady, Tx to the late Roy and Mary Lura Black.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Jimmie graduated from Mason High School in 1959. She married Henry Gary Schmidt June 20, 1959. They raised their two children Cindy and Jim on their ranch in Streeter.

Jimmie was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She spent her life on the Schmidt Ranch raising sheep, goats, and cattle. When she wasn't working livestock, she was in the kitchen concocting new recipes for her cookbook which was shared all over the country thanks to her sponsor Zebco Corporation.

Jimmie spent many years as a MYF leader. She loved to paint wildlife, play bridge with the ladies, take vacations with her family and friends, and volunteer in her community. She was a talented seamstress and carpenter as well. Jimmie was known to sit countless hours in deer blinds scouting animals. Her love for the outdoors and wildlife led her to open Raz exotic sale and Mason Auction Market with her husband Gary.

Jimmie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gary; children Cindy (Terry) Moehle, son Jim Schmidt; granddaughter Stephanie (Ryon) Gossett, great-grandchildren Madison, McKinley, Callen; sisters Carolyn Gertson, Judy Brown; brother Randall Black and her beloved extended family.
