Jimmie was born in Brady on August 9, 1946 to Belmore C. Lange and Gertrude Friday Lange. He was raised in Mason and was a graduate of Mason High School. Jimmie loved Mason and spent as much of his life here as he was able. In 1972 Jimmie graduated from Southwest Texas State University and on December 29th of that year he married Edith Henson.
Jimmie worked as a teacher, principal and eventually as a superintendent in Mason, Pasadena, Granger, Falls City and Rochelle. He had a gift for teaching and a love for his students and the teachers he worked with. His students in return loved and respected him.
The tragic death of his father helped him to understand the importance of family and he never missed an opportunity to spend time with his wife and children as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was involved with 4H and FFA and helped the kids with their projects. Jimmie enjoyed visiting with people and if he went to the feed store you knew he would be there for a while visiting. He loved to spend time at the ranch and he also enjoyed fishing.
Jimmie will be missed by his family and friends and by his beloved dog Abbie.
