Jessie Nobles, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, at the age of 84. Jessie is survived by 2 daughters Gay Nesloney and husband Bert of Mason and Rita Sutton and husband Scott of Brady, a brother Sonny Holt and wife Nancy of Mason and 2 sisters Billie Brown of Mason and Iva Nell Sparks and husband Holden of Midland along with 6 grandchildren Jason Wilkinson, Trey Nesloney, Wes Sutton, Ty Wilkinson, Jessica Sutton and Tifnee Nesloney, 4 great-grandchildren Maykala Wilkinson, Landon Atkinson, Braedon Wilkinson and Aden Sinclair and a son-in-law Duane Wilkinson of Hondo. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Nobles, a daughter Barbara Wilkinson, 3 sisters Maudell McDonald, Pearl Murrah and Lorene Tyler and a brother Harlan Lee Holt.

Jessie was born at Fredonia, in Mason County, on December 22, 1926 to Jesse Mac Holt and Kizzie Marie Ferguson Holt. She attended school at Fredonia and graduated from Mason High School in 1943. On January 11, 1946 she married Clinton Nobles at Camp San Saba. They made their home at Camp Air where they farmed and ranched and raised their family. Jesse was a member of the Church of Christ first in Fredonia and then the Mason Church of Christ. Through the years Jessie worked at several places. After high school and business school, she worked at Davenport Pharmacy and Grimsley's in Mason and then after she married Jessie worked for the phone company first as an operator in Mason and then in the business office in Brady. She also helped her husband farming and ranching. She enjoyed hunting for Topaz, watching mystery shows and discussing politics. She also loved working outdoors, helping others and enjoyed watching sports, especially if her grandchildren were playing.

Funeral services for Jessie Nobles will be held on Friday, December 2, at 3:00 p.m. in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery at Camp Air. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.
