Jerald Don Jordan, of Mason, Texas passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born and raised in Art to Clifford and Rita Jordan. Jerald graduated from Mason High School in 1962. From a young age, Jerald was a natural fit with cattle and was accepted and graduated from TCU's Renowned Ranch Management Program where he built lifelong relationships with leaders in the beef industry. Jerald returned to Mason in 1964, to set his roots by building his first home and eventually acquiring the local Purina Feed Store. He soon expanded his business into brokering cattle from area cattle auctions for buyers throughout the southwest. Passionate and very successful when it came to livestock buying - He was always optimistic and responded to challenges with a simple "it's all good" and a smile.

Jerald is survived by his wife Vondell Jordan, of Mason, their children: Dan Jordan and partner Michael Laughlin of Los Angeles, California, Barry Jordan and wife Melissa of Hondo, Jeri Kay Jordan-Huckeba and husband Lance of Lewisville, Brandon Fuqua of Wilson, Bryan Fuqua and wife Stephanie of Waco, Brooke Rosberg and husband Andy of Mason, brother Roger Jordan and wife Tyra of Mason and brother Wayne Jordan and wife Nancy of Art along with 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are: Vince Gilliam, Henry Langford, Stuart Immel, Dorman Cavness, Marty Frey, Isidro Soto, Clifton Reed, and Jay Schovajsa

Honorary Pallbearers are grandchildren: Kaylee Hope, Kameron, Kyler, and Kaden Jordan, Lucas and Ella Huckeba, Rodie and Rylan Fuqua, Kynzli and Corbin Fuqua, and Davis and Grayson Rosberg.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Art Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Art West Cemetery.

The family extends their appreciation and thanks to Dr. Rad Kothmann, The Nurses and Staff of Knopp No. 2 Nursing Home, and the Votive Hospice Team (all of Fredericksburg, Texas) for their incredible kindness and assistance with Jerald's care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Art Methodist Church in remembrance of Jerald.
