Janet Jane Willmann, 69, passed from this life on February 18, 2023, to reside in heaven with Jesus and Willie Ray and Ethel until Christ returns. Janet was born on August 1, 1953, at Fredericksburg, Texas to Willie Ray Willmann and Ethel Julia Sagebiel Willmann.

She attended the Mason schools and graduated from Mason High School in 1971. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1975 with a B.S in Agricultural Journalism and in 1978 with a Masters in Agricultural Economics. After an internship at City National Bank in Houston, she returned home to the family farm and ranch where she engaged in the family's peanut farm and raising cattle, hogs, sheep and Angora goats.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, David Ray Willmann, and wife, Diane, of Llano, Texas, her brother, Karl Douglas Willmann and wife, Sandy, of Houston, Texas, and her brother Dexter K. Sagebiel and wife Jennabeth of Llano, Texas; by nephews, Ryan Willmann, Ross Willmann and wife Jill, Davis Willmann, Korey Willmann and wife, Megan, and nieces, Jordan Willmann Baker and husband John David , Krys Willmann O'Toole, and husband, Stephen, Bella Willmann, Trudy Sagebiel Volmar and husband Steven, Terri Sagebiel Vogel and husband Jamey; and great nieces Reagan Baker, Sage Baker, Harper Willmann, Hadlee Willmann, Addison Willmann, Emma Willmann, Leila Willmann, Elise Willmann, Kate Willmann, Elle Rose O'Toole, Baylie Vogel Cluck and husband, Jon, and great nephews, David Baker, Jackson Willmann, Briggs Willmann, Tadgh Oliver O'Toole, Dakota Volmar, and Joshua Vogel and wife Natalie.

Janet was very active in the community. She served on the Mason County Agricultural Conservation and Stabilization Committee which is now known as Farm Service Agency Board. She was also an officer on the Mason County Farm Bureau board of directors. She loved to farm and ranch. She was as handy at driving a tractor as her brothers were. She loved animals. She showed lambs and steers in the Mason County Junior Livestock Show and in the major stock shows where she showed the Grand Champion steer at the Southwestern International Livestock Show and Rodeo in El Paso, Texas.

Janet was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason, Texas where she was confirmed. She spent most of her adult life doing whatever she could to help our parents in their farming and ranching activities. In our parents later years, taking care of them was job one for her. Mental health issues slowly robbed her of certain joys, but she loved her nieces and nephews immensely and they loved her as well.

Pallbearers are Ryan Willmann, Korey Willmann, Ross Willmann, Davis Willmann, John David Baker, Stephen O'Toole, Steven Volmer, and Jamey Vogel and honorary pallbearers are Quade Willmann, Loyd Comer, Kenneth Durst and Jerry Bearden.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason, Texas.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 24th from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason, Texas. Interment will be in the Gooch Cemetery.
