"Down the Drain with Jane"
Jane Brenda Brandenberger Zesch

Jane Brenda Brandenberger Zesch, 72, of Mason, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2018 surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life will be held at the River of Life Church in Mason, Texas on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 2 PM with Pastor Dave Benefield officiating. A reception to follow at the Grossville Clubhouse.

Jane was born on June 11, 1945 and was specially chosen by Sam and Willie Mae Brandenberger. She graduated from Mason High School in 1963. She went on to work in the banking business in San Antonio and Austin. She returned to Mason in 1995 to marry her "Z", Ronny Zesch. In Mason, she worked at the Central Texas Electric Coop for 13 years where she later retired in 2010. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and hosting Camp Memaw for her grandkids every summer. She was a proud Rebel mom and Puncher Memaw. There were a lot of evenings spent at ballparks and stadiums around Texas and Oklahoma where you could hear cowbells and yelling, "Run baby, RUN!". She loved to write her article, "Down the Drain with Jane" where she told countless stories about her family's adventures.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Willie Mae Brandenberger, sisters Jo Ann Barwise and Jen Doell Jordan; her nephews Burt Barwise and Brad Barwise.

Jane is survived by her spouse, Ronny Zesch; her son Branden Padgett and wife Shannon of Mason, TX; son Bruce "Happy" Padgett and wife Lacey of Ennis, TX; son Brody Padgett and wife Jessica of Melbourne, FL; her grandchildren Colby, Bryson, Cooper, Cailey, and Casen; Step-daughters Annisa Hendrix, husband Jay and children; Telisa Valentine, husband Dale and children.

There were many, many dogs that passed through her loving door. To honor her memory, the family respectfully requests donations be made in her honor to the Mason Ole Yellow Animal Shelter or the Hill Country SPCA in Fredericksburg.
