James Leroy Crevisour Sr., 89, of London, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 13th, 2024. He was born in Portageville, MO in 1935. He is preceded in death by his father Jesse Lonzo Crevisour and his mother Maggie Leonia Morgan, brother Robert Ray Crevisour (Dorla) and sisters Marjean Jefferies and Peggy Luna. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Doris F. Hopper Crevisour, son James Crevisour Jr and his wife Lisa, daughters Reba Belcher Davis and husband Vernon Davis, Christina Crevisour (Carrie) and one sister Patricia Browning. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Parris Tiumentsev (Vladimir), Andrew Belcher (Kathleen) , Michael Davis, Victoria Shatswell (Cameron), Benjamin Crevisour, Katherine Crevisour) as well as eight great grandchildren. James spent most of his life working hard for a living as a diesel mechanic and retired from Memphis Area Transit Authority in Memphis, Tennessee. He was always busy, and he loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He and his family were members of Leawood Baptist Church in Memphis Tennessee for many years prior to moving to Texas to be near family. James would often stop people in grocery stores and when out shopping to tell them God loves them. He never met a stranger and was always willing to strike up a conversation with anyone that had the time to talk. Services will be held at the chapel of the Mason Funeral Home in Mason, Texas. (June 17, @ 2:00 pm). Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or a donation can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Research Institute or to Votive Hospice to assist others in their time of need. A special thank you is given from our family to Votive Hospice out of Fredericksburg Texas (Dawn, Liz, Cortny and Dr Rad Kothmann) for coming to our rescue for James' end stage Alzheimers. They were so caring and kind and jumped in with both feet to assist us in helping James get comfortable and to allow him to pass from this world with dignity and peace. We are eternally grateful. May the memory of James L. Crevisour Sr. be eternal.
