Hilda Ruth Larrimore, of Burnet, passed away on Monday, August 26, at the age of 86. Mrs. Larrimore is survived by her son Charles Eugene "Gene" Larrimore and wife Nan of Mason, two grandchildren; Jordan Larrimore and fiancé Stephanie Castillo of Kyle, and Amy Britt and husband Robby of Pflugerville. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Richard W. Smith, her husband, and a son, Dennis W. Larrimore.

Hilda was born in Fairland in Burnet County, on August 9, 1933 to William Landon smith and Eula Mae (Wallace) Smith. She was raised in the Marble Falls area and graduated from Marble Falls high school. Hilda met and fell in love with Charles Larrimore, and they were married at the First Methodist Church in Marble Falls on October 26, 1951. They moved to Frederick, Maryland during Charles' service in the US Army. They settled in La Grange where they lived for 30 years raising their two sons. Upon Charles' retirement from teaching, they moved to Mason, living there until his death in 2007. At that time, Hilda moved to Burnet where she became an active member of the First Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Burnet. Graveside service and interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Gooch Cemetery in Mason.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First Christian Church in Burnet or to the American Cancer Society.
