Higinio "Trey" Ramon III of Mason, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 35. Trey was born on January 7, 1986 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Higinio "Pepe" II and Natalia Ramon. In 2013, he married his high school sweetheart, Amanda Garcia. They have two sons Higinio "Derek" Ramon IV (11 years old) and Cruz Alexander Ramon (3 years old).
Trey graduated from Mason High School in 2004, where he participated in numerous extracurricular activities including football, baseball, golf, and Jazz band. He worked as a welder at RDI and followed his father's footsteps as a devoted volunteer with the Mason Volunteer Fire Department, Chain Gang member for the Mason Football Department, and Youth Baseball coach for multiple teams. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, dancing to good music, having midnight BBQs, coordinating cousin sport games, hunting and fishing, teasing anyone and everyone, laughing uncontrollably, and most importantly his favorite NFL team- the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trey was a loving son and brother, a loyal friend, a dedicated worker and above all, he was a proud and devoted husband and daddy.
Higinio "Trey" Ramon III is survived by his wife Amanda Ramon, two sons Derek and Cruz Ramon, his parents Pepe and Natalia Ramon all of Mason, sister Angel Arredondo and husband Hyman of San Marcos, and sister-in-law Jordan Ramon and nieces and nephews: Estrellita Steward, Brantlin and Isla Ramon.
Trey is preceded in death by his best friend and little brother, Charles "Charlie" Ramon, his maternal grandparents Delfina and Manuel Martinez Sr., and his paternal grandparents Rosa and Higinio Ramon Sr.
Funeral services are as follows: visitation at Mason Funeral Home on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a Rosary following at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment with "Fireman's Honors" will follow in the Gooch Cemetery.

An account benefitting the family of Trey Ramon has been established at the Mason bank. Additional offerings or donations can be facilitated through the Mason Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Face coverings are required at the funeral home and at the church.
