On Saturday, June 27, 2015 Heaven gained another of God's true servants.

Helen Kasper Willis was born on October 8, 1929 to A.F. (Jack) Kasper and Mamie Leifeste Kasper in Mason, Texas. She could trace her ancestry back to some of the first German settlers in the Hill Country. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church when Alfred Doerfler was pastor.

She attended schools at Sonora and Mason and graduated from Mason High School in 1946. She attended Texas Wesleyan College in Ft. Worth.

On September 11, 1954 she married George Willis in Mason, Texas, They lived all their married life in Pontotoc, Texas. She worked for many years as a legal secretary to Bob Lee, Jack Lee, David young, Carlos Ashley, Jr., Sam Oatman & Fran Merritt. She was active in 4-H, domino groups and anything involving the Pontotoc Fire Department. In earlier years she did quilting and handiwork and enjoyed giving homemade gifts for Christmas and birthdays.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, her sister Emily Mask, brothers-in-law William B. Willis, Frank Willis and Mode Mask and nephew Kenneth Mask.

She is survived by a son, Bill Willis, of Pontotoc and San Angelo, Texas, a daughter, Sandra Willis Hale and husband Charlie, of Pontotoc, a grandson Kody Willis of Austin. Other relatives include a niece Kari Reichenau and children, Kristen and Mason, and a nephew John Mask, wife Michelle and daughters Joyslynn and Macy.

Pallbearers will be Brandon bode, Byron Bode, clay Bode, Zane Bode, Chad Carson and John Mask. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Bode, Gerald Davis, Wayne Dusek, Kevin Givens, Paul Lehmberg, Randy Moore, T.J. Webster, Harold Underwood and Ronny Zesch.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 on Friday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pontotoc Cemetery Association would be appreciated.
