Harvey Jean Zesch, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, at the age of 89.  Harvey was born on April 4, 1933, in Mason, to Alvin William Zesch and Irene Kothmann Zesch.

Harvey was raised in Mason and was a 1951 graduate of Mason High School.  He attended Tarleton State College (now University) and served his country in the U.S. Army.  After his time in the service, Harvey returned to Mason where he ranched and did day work for other ranchers.  In 1961 Harvey married and this union with Eileen was blessed with their daughter Pamela.

Harvey was a good, quiet, Christian man and an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  He was always willing to help others and was always very careful not to offend anyone.  He would "go along, to get along" even if it was inconvenient for him.

Harvey is survived by his daughter, Pamela Lamm, a niece Mary Hey McAdams and husband Sheldon, nephews Mark Hey, Matt Hey and Peter Hey and wife Maria.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Zesch, sister Marjorie Hey and son-in-law David Lamm.

It was Harvey's wish that his funeral service be private, with only the immediate family attending.  In lieu of flowers or food, please make memorials to the charity of one's choice.
