Fannie Pearl Taylor "Missy" Armes left this life from Menard Manor, February 16, 2023 where she made her home the last few years.

Fannie Or Missy, as she was known by her family and friends was born December 10, 1923, at the T-Up T-Down ranch in San Saba County to her parents W.H and Willie Sloan Taylor. She was the youngest of seven children.

She attended schools at the ranch, where her father built a one room schoolhouse for his 7 children at Cherokee. She married Roy Armes, March 26, 1943.  They made their home in Fredonia. They were both active in farming and ranching. They had two sons, Billy Frank & Vaughn. Her husband and sons preceded her in death. She was an active supporter of the Pontotoc Volunteer Fire Department. Fannie could always be found at the Pontotoc Musical on Saturday night, where locals would gather to pick and sing. Her chocolate pies were famous and fought over by family when she made one.  Fannie lived on the ranch until her move to Junction in 2010. She loved playing cards and Bingo. 42 was her game of choice and was a member of the domino club at the Senior Apartments in Junction. You could be sure when visiting that the TV was on the Game Show Network. Fannie continued her love of games during her stay at the Manor.

Those left to honor and celebrate her life: Daughter in Law: Edith Armes, grandchildren: Clay & wife Marie Armes, Jim Bob & wife Jennie Armes, Allison & husband Steve Hicks, great grandchildren: Keeley & husband Kevin Smith, Cooper Hicks and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be at the Union Band cemetery on Monday, February 20, at 10:00 a.m.
