Ervin Eckert, of Doss, passed away on Monday, August 11, at the age of 90. Visitation for Ervin Eckert will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 10 a.m. at Hilda United Methodist Church with Rev. Wade Powell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Hilda Methodist Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Yvonne Eckert, of Doss, 4 children: Ernie Eckert of San Angelo, Larry Eckert and wife Jana of Abilene, Jimmie Jill Pilcher and husband Halton of Sherman and Ellen Eckert of Austin, six grandchildren Amber Adams and husband Jack, Elise Eckert, Morgan Pilcher, Evan Eckert, Nicholas Eckert and Brandon Pilcher, two great-grandchildren Ashtyn Eckert and Addison Adams and three brothers-in-law: Roy Itz of Doss, Dayton Harper and wife Mitzi of San Angelo and Sam Harper Jr. of Mason..
