Elizabeth "Betty" Scheck, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, February 17, at the age of 74. Survivors include her daughter Jennifer McCort Kunz and Husband Robert, of Fredericksburg and a sister Penny Myers of Racine wisconsin. A visitation and Celebration of Her Life will be held on saturday, March 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall on south Washington St. A meal will follow at 5.

Betty was born in chaicago, Illinois on February 11, 1940to George Sydney Fry and Mary Lenore Cavender Fry. She was raised in Illinois and taught elementary school after graduating from college. She was also a tavern owner. Betty moved to fredericksburg in 1993. She was a member of Ressurection Lutheran Church and also taught Sunday School there.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her huband Larry Scheck and a son Marc McCort.

Memorials in her honor may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, American Cancer society or to the charity of one's choice.
