Obituary

Earlene Eppler, of Mason, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18th at the age of 90. Earlene was born on December 11, 1933, in Pontotoc Texas to Earl and Stella Barton Moore.

Earlene graduated from Mason High School in 1954 and married Pat Eppler soon after his return from the Korean War. Earlene is survived by two children, son Kurt and wife Camilla Eppler; and daughter Karla Eppler. Earlene was preceded in death by daughter Rebecca Lynn Eppler. Earlene has two grandchildren, Kurran and wife Santana and great-granddaughter Finley Eppler of Mason, and Kyle and wife Kari Eppler and two great-grandsons, Eamon and Ian Eppler of Iola Texas.

Earlene worked for the State of Texas Comptroller office and retired after 35 years of loyal service. She never met a stranger and made many friends there over the years. She took pride in her work and was a diligent employee who enjoyed her job immensely.

Earlene loved Jesus with all her heart, soul, and mind.

Earlene is survived by stepchildren Terri Sparks, Jo Lynn and Fred Smith, Danny and Brenda Turner, and Donnie and Carrie Turner, and numerous step-grandchildren. Earlene was preceded in death by husband George Turner.

Earlene was also preceded in death by her parents and all her sisters: Grace Davis, Lois Simpson, Lucille Walker, Viola Buntyn, Dolly Ray McCarty and Pauline Hasse. Earlene left behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Friday September 20thfrom 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21St at Mason Funeral Home in Mason with Pastor Dave Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Coffey Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Kurran Eppler, Kyle Eppler, Danny Turner, Donnie Turner, Clayton Turner and Colby Turner.

The family wishes to acknowledge the concern, kindness, and love shown by Knopp Nursing Home and Methodist Hill Country Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to the Coffey Cemetery or the charity of one's choice.
