Donald Jacques of Mason TX, passed away at his home surrounded by family and loved ones, on August 14, 2023, at the age of 94.

Donald was born in Worcester, MA. On June 10, 1929, to Harold and Doris Jacques.

Donald is survived by his three children, Wayne Jacques, Ken Jacques, and John Jacques; four Grandchildren, Brian Jacques, Stuart Jacques, Jessica Jacques and Rachel Jacques; two great grandchildren, Gideon Schenk and Sophie Jae Maestas.

After Graduating in 1951 with an Economics Degree from University of Massachusetts, Donald joined the United States Air Force in 1952, was stationed in Germany, serving in the Korean War.

After returning to the states, he married Wanda Hurley from Mason Texas, and moved back to Worcester to start his family and career in business, running several large corporations.

Retiring to Mason with his wife Wanda Jacques in 1996. His years in Mason were filled with great love for the community, and an endless energy that included acting as the first President of the Board for the Mason Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. In 2002 he was awarded Citizen of the Year by the Mason Chamber of Commerce.

We will all smile, as we think back on the great stories, over a glass of chardonnay at the Sandstone wine bar on Thursday night. His infectious wit and laughter were what we all loved most about Donald. His passions for music, travel and friendship fulfilled his life with great memories. We will miss him dearly; he is with Wanda now.
