Obituary

Diana Fields Schuch, "Mama" began her walk with Jesus on October 21, 2023, in New Braunfels, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Diana was born on February 15, 1947, in El Paso, Texas to Charles and Lorene Fields.  She married Skily Schuch in Mason, Texas on February 4, 1967, and gave birth to her only child Canna on June 15, 1976.

Diana taught 4th grade at The Little Schoolhouse in Del Rio, Texas for many years.  She enjoyed playing Bunco and taking part in her Sunday School group.  Diana spent countless hours involved in her daughter's, Canna's, extracurricular activities followed by her dedication to her only grandchild, Halle's, many activities.

Diana was a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, Godmother, friend, and "homie."

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lorene Fields, in-laws Max and Ella Mae Schuch, brother James D. Fields, and brother-in-law JT Hill.

Diana is survived by her husband Skily, daughter and son-in-law Canna and Clint Scheib, granddaughter Halle Scheib and her boyfriend Quinten Baker, siblings Charles (Nikki), Harry (Regina), Rita Hill, Linda Fields, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Diana's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Schuch Family Cemetery (Gillespie County).
