Delores Zbasnik was born on November 17, 1930 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Lewis E. Hunter and Lylia G. Ranzau Hunter.

Delores graduated from Artesia High School (New Mexico) in 1949. She entered St. Joseph School of Nursing in Ponca City in June of 1949 and graduated in June of 1952 with an RN Degree. Delores worked in a state hospital in Norman, Oklahoma from 1952 to 1953.

On January 17, 1953 Delores married Paul H. Zbasnik in Van Buren, Arkansas. They started a family and lived in Oklahoma and Norfolk Virginia and then settled in Cleveland, Ohio. In Ohio Delores continued her work as a Registered Nurse working for Deaconess Hospital from 1961 to 1982. In 1982 Delores and Paul retired and moved to Llano, Texas. There she made many friends and enjoyed the time with her husband, Paul.

Delores enjoyed cooking as a hobby, traveling and visiting her sister Patricia in Marshall, Texas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 66 years Paul H. Zbasnik, three sons: Philip Paul Zbasnik (Beth), Peter Thomas Zbasnik (Pam) and Paul Lewis Zbasnik, grandchildren Pete Jr., Abby, Emily and Ben, a sister Ramona Hicks (Walt), and a brother Zonnie Hunter (Drue). She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lewis Eugene Hunter (Blanch), and a sister Patricia Beckett (Joseph).

Per her request, her body will be cremated and her remains will be interred at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.
