Delores Rice Garrett passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Delores was born on August 09, 1942, to Clyde Frederick Rice and Geneva Moorhead in Mexia, Tx.

Delores is survived by her children, son William Garrett (Cheryl) of Cleveland, Tx, daughter Patricia Beaty (William) of Mason, Tx, and daughter Susan Hooten, her brother Dr. Cecil Rice and her sisters Shirley Middlesteadt, Bernice Bilski and Linda Montesi. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Garrett in 2001, brothers Chester Rice, Michael Rice, Patrick Rice, Jerry Rice and sisters Ruth Koster and Carolyn Jerkens, and grandson Austin Garrett in 2012.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, August 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Gooch Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers-Memorials may be made to the Mason County Cancer Benefit.

Pallbearers will be Clay Lindsay, Garrett Lindsay, William Beaty III, William "Cuatro" Beaty IV, Albert Lewis Harrington, Justin Garrett and Trayton Stewart.
