David Clarence Alm was born on January 21, 1929, the oldest child of Clarence Newton and Marie Matilda Alm. He passed away on Feb 3, 2018. He was born in Phillips, Wisconsin where he spent his childhood and graduated from high school.

David enlisted in the service in the summer of 1947, joining what would shortly become the U.S. Air Force. He met his first wife Willadean Flora Huth in San Antonio where he was stationed. They married August 22, 1951 and were together until her passing in 2007. They had 2 sons together; david Michael in 1957 and Eric Jason in 1960.

In 1954, David was selected for Officer Candidate Training and was commissioned a 1st Lieutenant. He had become a pilot. The family was transferred to several bases around the country.

In 1968, David retired as a Major, a veteran of over 21 years. He then started a career as a pilot in corporate aviation flying many types of aircraft until his retirement in 1994.

David and "Deanie" raised their sons while living in Arlington, Texas from 1968 until 1995. They then retired and built a home on a small river property on the Llano they had found a few years earlier.

In 1999, their son David gave them their only grandchild, Aaron James Alm.

David married Beth Leifeste, a fellow member of River of Life Church in Mason, in November of 2008. They spent life together until his passing.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Deanie and sister Madeline along with a step-son David Leifeste and step-grandson Nicholas "Nick" Leifeste. He is survived by his sons and grandson, brother Jack and sisters Nancy and Luci. He is also survived by his wife's family; sons Brian Leifeste and wife Sallie of New Braunfels, Randy Leifeste and wife Jody of San Marcos, grandchildren Keri Nash, Susan Estensen, Heather Harrison, Lindsey Valez, Ashlei Moos, Rachel Leifeste, Jessica Liechty, Anna Leifeste, Andrew Leifeste, Justin Leifeste and 16 great-grandchildren.
