Darlene Wallace August 14, 1949 – January 3, 2024

Darlene Wallace, age 74, of Austin, Tx passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, at her home in Mason, Tx. Darlene was known for her fiercely competitive spirit and unwavering loyalty and support for her Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. She will be fondly remembered for mercilessly beating her family in Scrabble throughout the years.

In recent years, Darlene retired to the countryside where she developed a love and honed her natural talent for painting. Darlene enjoyed sharing her old recipes and hosting glamourous, lovely tea parties for her family and grandchildren with whom she loved to spend her time.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Janie Flowers and her brother Bill Flowers.

Darlene Wallace was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Darlene is survived by her husband Alban Wallace whom she married in 1968 and provided operational support for their business, AD Wallace Fencing, for fifty years. Darlene is survived by her seven children: Dana Scott (spouse Darren), Hope Wallace, Adam Wallace, Ashlie Wallace, Brodie Wallace (spouse Kara), Valerie Diehl (spouse Justin), and Jessica Meek, her 14 grandchildren Haley Scott, Wyatt Scott, Mary-Katherine Scott, Aden Barrett, Raifton Barrett, India Barrett, Eirys Wallace, Jack Wallace, Summer Diehl, Easton Diehl, Adelyn Wallace, Jedidiah Wallace, Hezekiah Wallace, and Calvin Meek.

Graveside service will be held on January 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Wallace Cemetery in Spicewood, Texas.  Flowers may be sent to the graveside service.
