Danny Benton Gierisch was born on Sept 7th, 1947, in Brady, TX to Ernest Robert Gierisch and Virginia Bertha Stucke.  He left this earth to join his parents, son Darryn Benton Gierisch and Sister Doris Gregor in God's Palace on Nov 6th, 2024.

Danny graduated Mason High and spent a year at Austin School of Electronics before joining the US Airforce, where he served our country for 4 years. He then returned to Mason to marry his wife, Sue Boudreaux.  He is survived by his wife and their two children:  Nicholas Trey Gierisch of Mason and Delana Nichol Johnson and husband Jeff of San Angelo.  He is also survived by his brother Ernest Robert Gierisch, Jr and wife Louise of Mason and sister, Linda Gierisch Doyal and husband Teddy Ray of Mason, two uncles Carl Gierisch and Dorman Gierisch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny loved being outdoors.  He loved to fish and hunt and passed this love on to his children. He also loved riding motorcycles with his numerous friends.  He was a jack of all trades, including being a mechanic, well service man, propane delivery driver, electrician and minor carpenter.

He loved spending time with friends and family and was always willing to offer help in any way possible to those he cared about.

His memory will be treasured, and he will be missed, but we know he is now in God's hands with his beloved parents and son.

Fly high Danny, rest in peace now!

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 8, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with interment to follow at the Gooch Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Donnie Gierisch, Terry Gierisch, Homer Gomez, Henry Tuckness, Keith Ward and Jimmy Stone.

Honorary Pallbearers: Charles Elbe, Jacob St. Pierre, Ronnie Moore, Paul Miller, Korbin Tuckness, Gary R. Gierisch, Justin Yonker and Colby Yonker.
