Crystle Keyser, of Mason, passed away on Sunday, April 13, at the age of 94. Mrs. Keyser is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Martin and husband Bill, of Mason, two grandchildren Kim Metcalf and husband Harvey of Center Point and Lori Allen and husband Skeet of Mason, three great-grandchildren; Kassie Potter and husband Luke, Garrett Allen and Kristen Allen and one great-great-grandchild Keagan Potter.
Funeral services for Crystle Keyser will be held on Friday, April 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Hofmann officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 at the Loyal Valley Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Crystle was born in Mason County on May 17, 1919 to John Fikes and Ethel Chandler Fikes. She graduated from Mason High Schoo in 1939l. On May 10, 1941 Crystle married Raymond Herman Keyser. They were together for 44 years until his passing in 1984. Crystle was a member of the First Baptist Church. In earlier years she was very active in the church and also taught Sunday School. Crystle worked hard ranching, gardening, cooking and sewing. She loved to host family gatherings on the holidays and she and Raymond loved to go to Colorado each year. They would fish for salmon and Crystle would can some of what they caught and bring it back to Mason. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bridge.
Crystle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Barbara Campbell
Memorials in her honor may be made to the Loyal Valley Cemetery Association in care of Mason National bank.
