Our beloved son, husband, brother, cousin, and friend, Collin Clay Bode, returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on November 11, 2023, at the young age of 31. Collin was born in Seguin, TX on August 8, 1992, to Clay and Diane (Tedrow) Bode.

Collin attended school in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Douglas MacArthur in May 2011. There he was an accomplished athlete in football and track where he excelled under an outstanding coaching staff that included his father, Clay. After graduation he continued his education at Texas Lutheran University where he also played football for the Bulldogs for two years. He went on to receive his Associate Degree in Welding Technology at Austin Community College.

Nature held a special place in Collin's heart, and he found solace in the great outdoors. The vastness of the wilderness spoke to his soul, and he found serenity in the act of hunting and, most of all, fishing. He and his brother, Ryan, could often be found wandering the fields of the family ranch looking for whatever quarry that could be found and hunted or were parked out on a lake competing in a fishing tournament.

In 2019, Collin met Janelle Russell, and they were married January 18, 2021. He was a devoted spouse and stepparent, always putting his family first and cherishing every moment spent with them.

Collin leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving parents, Clay and Diane Tedrow Bode of Pontotoc, who nurtured his spirit and instilled in him a strong sense of compassion and work ethic. His beloved wife, Janelle Bode of Granbury, stood by his side as a pillar of strength and support. Collin's brother, Ryan Richard Bode of Pontotoc, shared in the bond of family and helped to create lifelong cherished memories. Additionally, he leaves behind two stepsons, Jonathan Russell and Sammy Russell, stepdaughter Miranda Faith, and two step-grandchildren (Scarlett and Austin), all of whom he embraced as his own. He is also survived by his grandfathers, Charles Bode and Richard Tedrow and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In the embrace of eternity, Collin is reunited with his grandmothers, Sue Bode, and Sharon Tedrow, as well as his great grandparents JC and Martha Walker and Eunice Tedrow who preceded him in death. Their spirits now intertwine, forever connected in the realm beyond.

A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Mason. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the Pontotoc Cemetery.
