Charles Ray Loeffler was born September 14 ^, 1950. His parents were Gilbert and Marie Loeffler. After attending Mason schools he enrolled in the University of Texas. Charles was a member of the 1970 Longhorn National Championship Football Team. He graduated from UT with a degree in accounting. In 2000, he and wife Susie moved to Mason to live their dream on Circle Oaks Ranch. Charles loved the land and his longhorn cattle. Charles continued his CPA business and was a director on the Hill Country Telephone Cooperative Board, serving the community of Mason and beyond.

Charles went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2018. He was a good and faithful servant. Charles will be remembered as a big man with an even bigger heart. He used his blessings and talents to serve his family, his church, and the community.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Susie Loeffler, of Mason and four children; Brett Loeffler and wife Kathy of Mason, Lacy Kozak and husband Terry of Alvin, Brandon Loeffler of Dallas, Travis Hyatt and wife Leigh of Mason and brother Tom Loeffler and wife Susan of Dallas. Charles was also blessed with ten grandchildren: Kamryn and Trevor Loeffler, Ashleigh, Caleb, Colin, Clay, Alayna, and Allyson Hyatt, Seth Anderson and Morgan Kozak.

The funeral service for Charles Loeffler will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Private interment will follow the service. Charles will lie in repose at Mason Funeral Home from 12 noon till 5 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Mason County Cancer Benefit or Mason Volunteer Fire Department.
