Charles Rex Eubank, of Mason, passed away on Saturday, June 25, at the age of 73. A memorial service for Mr. Eubank will be held on Friday, July 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the River of Life Church in Mason. Survivors include his wife Bonnie Carol Eubank of Mason, four sons Chaz Eubank and wife Kim of Oklahoma City, OK, William Eubank of San Antonio, Pat Eubank and wife Cathy of Mason and Rustan Eubank of Fredericksburg, a brother R. Dean Eubank and wife Sandra of Nantucket, MA, 6 grandchildren Grant Eubank, Abby Lynn Eubank, Hunter Smith, Brandi Skye Smith, Dakota Smith, Lisa Toombs and husband Dylan, 3 great-grandchildren Kyndal Toombs, Karli Toombs and Brooklyn Skye Oliva.
Charles was born on March 7, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Charles Tilmer Eubank and Virgie Nichols Eubank. He was a 1955 graduate of Irving High School, attended Schreiner Institute in Kerrville and graduated from south West Texas State College (now Texas State University). Charles served his country as an Army infantryman. While in Kerrville he met Bonnie Schupp and they fell in love. They were married on February 18, 1961 and were together for 50 years. Through the years they made their home in Uvalde, Camp Wood and Rock Springs where he was involved in ranching. In 2003 they moved to Mason where he and Bonnie were members of River of Life Church.
