Charlene Bratton Schuessler, of Mason, passed away on Thursday, January 24, at the age of 84. She was born on November 8, 1934 in Fredonia to Charlie Bratton and Laura Hayes Bratton.

Charlene married Elroy Schuessler on November 12, 1952 in Fredonia. Their marriage was blessed with two sons Jimmy and Buddy and a daughter Pam.

Charlene was known for having a beautiful yard out in the country filled with blooming rose bushes and numerous pretty plants. She helped Elroy with his farming by going wherever he needed her to go to get parts for their equipment.

Along with her pretty yard, Charlene was such a good cook. She always shared her meals, cherry cheesecakes and many other of her sweets with family and friends.

She leaves behind a son Buddy Schuessler and wife Rebecca, of Mason, a daughter Pam Armstrong and husband Robert of Mason and a sister Ida Sellman and husband Dickie of New Braunfels, grandchildren: Cody Schuessler and wife Lisa, Misty Chandler and husband Tyler, Jeramy Schuessler, Patrick Schuessler and wife Janet, Ryan Schuessler, Jeffrey Mitschke and wife Taylor and Katy and Jesse Armstrong, great-grandchildren: Briley, Hayden, Mackenzie and Carson Schuessler, Sarah Chandler, Kade and Kasyn Mitschke a brother-in-law Dwain Schuessler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, a son Jimmy Schuessler and her husband Elroy Schuessler.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Fahenthold leading the service. Interment will be in the Grit Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Cody, Patrick, Ryan and Jeramy Schuessler, Jared Henrich and Tyler Chandler. Honorary pallbearers are Dwain Schuessler, Dickie Sellman, A, C. Harper, Dayton Harper, Billie Leach, Chuck Sellman and Jayton Henrich.
