Cecil Darald Hight, of London, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the age of 58. Darald was born January 14, 1951 in Mason, Texas to Cecil Milton and Johnnie Hight. He graduated from Menard High School and then moved to Lubbock where he learned to be a plumber. Darald was a master plumber and worked in Lewisville and for the Lewisville Independent School District for five years. He had two plumbing companies over the years and also did some catering. He loved to hunt and fish and he also loved to play card games and dominoes. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. With his quick wit, he was always playing jokes on people. He also loved to travel and enjoyed exploring new places. He was a very good friend and he was always ready to help other people when needed.
Darald is survived by his mother, Johnnie Hight, of London; three sisters: Deborah Lively and husband Mark of New Braunfels, Karen Swaney and husband Glen of Erna and Nancy Wagner and husband Clay of Santa Ana. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews: Tim Lively, Sarah Scheele, Zac Hanna, Ashley Adelmann, Jennifer Eppler and Kelly Wagner as well as six great-nieces and great-nephews: Katie Lively, Andy Lively, Jade Broton, Jarryd Evans, Mason Epper and Annie Eppler. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Milton Hight and by his son, Jesse Ray Hight.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home in Mason, Texas. Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 30th at 5:00 p.m. at London Baptist Church in London with Pastor Thomas Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Mountain Cemetery. Keith Templin, Larry Dunn, Jerry Johnson, Dwight Spaeth, Buster Terrell, Tony Elliott, Vernon Davis and Gary Vanderford will serve as pallbearers with Lee Daniels, Carl Loeffler, Jack Sides, Tommy Burney, Clarence Clark and Phillip Wright serving as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to American Diabetes Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
