Carolyn Danford, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, at the age of 70. Carolyn was born in Mason on October 13, 1948 to Herman and Blan Summit. She married Kenneth Danford in 1965 and their marriage was blessed with three children: Ken, Stephen and Shawna. Carolyn was a loving mother and wife and had a career as a cosmotologist.

Mrs. Danford is survived by two children, Shawna Brown and husband Jimmy of Borger and Kenneth Danford Jr. and wife Lindy, of Bryan, three sisters Connie Ward and husband Tommy, of Somerville, Lisa Maples of Junction, Debbie Garcia of Junction, a brother Paul Benavides of Brownwood and three grandchildren: Kyle Danford and wife Alyssa, Kristen Danford and Kade Danford and her beloved Yorkshire terrier, Bella. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Danford Sr., a son Stephen Danford and two sisters Marilyn and Janice.

Funeral services for Carolyn Danford will be held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery on Saturday, June 8, at 11:00 a.m.
