Brenda G. Durst, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, at the age of 80.  Brenda was born on July 21, 1940 to Benjamin Franklin Grimsley and Clara Vater Grimsley.

Brenda was a graduate of Mason High School and The First Mason Coronation Queen.  A true beauty!  For 32 years, Brenda owned and operated Benji's on the Mason town square.  Brenda was a very dedicated mother and care giver, especially to her handicapped son.  She was also a talented musician, playing the organ at the First United Methodist Church for over 30 years.

Brenda is survived by her children: Jeff Durst and wife Margaret of Mason, Sidney Durst of Llano and Christy Morley and husband Stephen of Leander.  She is also survived by four grandchildren: James Durst, Ethan Morley, Ty Morley and "Poppy" Morley.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery on Saturday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Peter Aguilar leading the service.
