Bob Crider, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, at the age of 80. Mr. Crider is survived by his wife, Nancy Crider of Mason, 5 sons: Billy Crider and wife Linda of Dale, Clinton Crider and wife Phyllis of Leander, Carl Crider of Lago Vista, Kenneth Crider and wife Annette of Georgetown, Jim Crider and wife Christean of Manchester, New Hampshire a sister Margaret Fulks and husband Lee of Georgetown, 7 grandchildren: Ray Crider, Eddie Crider, Brandon Crider, Jennifer Crider, Mary Crider, Christopher Crider and Alizabeth Crider and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bob was born on August 7, 1937 in Marble falls to Otto F. Crider and Katherine Brugmann Crider. He was raised in the Leander area and married Nancy Cotton in 1957. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children. He was a farmer and rancher. They lived in the Leander area until 1982 when they moved to Mason.
The outdoors is where Bob loved to be. That was where he could find the Lord and be at peace. He could operate any piece of equipment from a bull dozer to a lawn mower. He built dirt ponds, cleared brush, and built roads. He even built the first house they lived in after moving to Mason.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home with a short prayer service at 7. Burial of his cremated remains will take place in Leander at a later date.
