Billie Lehmberg was born December 27, 1920, in Mason, to William Splittgerber and Lillian Donop Splittgerber. She went home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 13, at the age of 89.
Billie married Fritz Ernest Lehmberg on June 20, 1940. They made their home at the ranch in southwest Mason County. Billie was an excellent pianist, playing in churches and for weddings. As Billie grew older, her failing eyesight, los of hearing and arthritis made it difficult for her to play, but she continued on without missing a note! Anyone who ever encountered her knew she was a strong Christian. In later years, she and Fritz traveled to Mexico, England, Argentina, Germany and the Holy Land. They enjoyed life together and loved to witness to others about "their Jesus" on the many mission trips they made.
She is survived by her sons Larry Lehmberg and wife Ann, Randy Lehmberg and wife Brenda and Brent Lehmberg, 8 grandchildren: Staci Lehmberg Mattlage and husband Mike, Bill Lehmberg and wife Heather, Jim Lehmberg, Belinda Lehmberg Finn and husband Sean, Joe Lehmberg and wife Lori, Michelle Lehmberg Ceniceros and husband Raymond, Vance Lehmberg and Lynn Ray Lehmberg, 9 great-grandchildren Garrett Mattlage, Jordan Mattlage, Elleson Lehmberg, Hutton Lehmberg, Matthew Finn, John Finn, Kinley Lehmberg, and Dylan and Alexis Ceniceros, a sister Evelyn "Nookie" Welsch and husband Kenneth, a brother Tommy Splittgerber, brothers-in-law Roy and Rae Lehmberg and a sister-in-law Gloria Lehmberg.
