Betty Landry Deans passed away July 12, 2012 at 5:10 a.m. Betty Faye Landry was born to Clara Rosa (Lang) and William Logan (Bill) Landry on October 26, 1931. She attended Mason High School. Betty married Marion Frances Deans on May 6, 1947 and moved to Voca, Texas. They were married 61 years and farmed and ranched together. Mr. Deans preceded her in death on December 22, 2008.

She is survived by three sons: John L. and wife Jayne of Pleasanton; Barry and wife Angelina, of Voca; Mike and wife Nicole, of Frisco; and daughter, Janie Deans, of Camp San Saba. Betty was preceded in death by her grandson Will Dodson, on January 6, 2012. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Betty Deans will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Voca Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons Randy Deans, Ron Hagood, Aaron Loomis, Chris Loomis, C.T. Dodson and Colie Reno.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mason Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, Mason, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Voca Cemetery Association, Mason county Museum or the Voca Volunteer Fire Department.
