Beatrice Langehennig, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, at the age of 92. She was born in Brady, Texas on November 17, 1927 to Henry A Ruegner and Bessie L. (Robbins) Ruegner. The family moved to Mason County and Beatrice attended school at Grossville and graduated from Mason High School. On September 26, 1946 Beatrice married Oliver Langehennig and they made their home in Mason.
Beatrice served as the Mason County and District Clerk for 36 years. During that time she was President of the Texas State county Clerks Association and also served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Counties.
Beatrice was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. She also served on the Church Council and on several church committees.
When not working, Beatrice loved to watch her children and grandchildren play sports and she enjoyed traveling and eating out.
Mrs. Langehennig is survived by her children Sue Stockbridge and husband Don of Mason and David Lee Langehennig of Mason, 5 grandchildren: Denver Stockbridge and wife Melissa, Bart Stockbridge, Joe David Langehennig and wife Jeri, Zachary Langehennig and wife Donna and Regina Perkins and husband David, 7 great-grandchildren: Chance, Kenley, Brooke and Grant Stockbridge, Kalen and Olivia Langehennig and Mason Perkins along with her very dear friend Jimie Langehennig
Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the Gooch Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Denver, Bart and Grant Stockbridge, Joe David and Zachary Langehennig and David Perkins. Honorary pallbearers are Chance, Kenley and Brooke Stockbridge, Kalen and Olivia Langehennig, Regina and Mason Perkins and Jerry Bearden.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the charity of your choice.
