Ann Hedwig Martin passed away on Thursday, June 11. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca McCarty and husband Ian of Seattle, Washington, and Lisa Keller of Brady; a brother, Bill Martin, Jr. and wife Priscilla of Loyal Valley; a sister, Judy Bennett and husband Paul of Parker, Colorado; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Peggy Martin, Sr.; a sister, Nancy Martin Cunyus; and was a descendant of Anna Martin.
Ann graduated from high school in Mason, attended SAC where she was a Ramette, and was constantly involved in numerous activities. She was a wonderful mother who had exceptional talent for interior decorating/design, loved to go antiquing, watercolor, spend time in the country, and loved life to its fullest. She had incredible wit, honesty, charm, and was an amazing "people person." She never knew a stranger and often stated, "You can never have too many friends." She was loved and adored by most everyone she ever met, and she spent a lifetime trying to encourage and help others.
The family has requested services to be private. Please send any memorials to San Angelo Hospice, P.O. Box 471, San Angelo, TX 76902, who were simply remarkable in their efforts to aid and comfort her in her decline.
