Marianita "Anita" Morquecho passed away on January 27, 2020 in Pflugerville, Texas at the age of 77.

Anita was born on January 7, 1943 in Mason, Texas to Julia and Alfredo Martinez. She married the love of her life Juan Morquecho Sr. on May 22, 1959

Together they were blessed with 10 children, 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Anita was a devoted mother and a loving wife. She was a lifelong citizen of Mason County and was also a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She spent the majority of her days cooking and cleaning, and running her household. Not a day went by, where you wouldn't see her without her family. She enjoyed the simple things in life and especially enjoyed watching her "Novelas" and listening to Tejano music. Anita very much valued her friendships and her time with family.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Juan and three children Yolanda, Lucy, and Pedro.

She is survived by her brother Mario Arambula of Las Vegas, Nevada and her beloved children: Cecilia and Luis Hurtado of Pflugerville, Andrea and Joe Lopez of Mason, Alexandro and Nancy Morquecho of San Antonio, Steve and Deborah Morquecho of Mason, Betty and Tim Denning of Cherokee, Lupe and Alex Ortiz of Cherokee, and Johnny and April Morquecho of Mason.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday, January 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Crosby Cemetery.
