Fae Danz, also known as "Mom", "Aunt Fae", and better known as "Mimi" of Mason, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022. She was 82 years old and was born in Garden City, Texas on January 24, 1940 to Elzie and Dovie Morris. She truly lived a life of service, whether it be with her work life or personal life. Mimi is survived by her three children, Cindy (Randy) Hensley of San Angelo, Karan Watson of Mason, and Darrell (Jerri) Danz of Mason. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Chase Hensley, Kristen (Michael) Oney, Will (Nikki) Watson, Devyn Bauman (Josh Wilson), John Tyler Danz and Kymberlin Danz. Her beloved great-grandchildren include Jordan, Russell, Grace, Curren, and Celten. Her siblings: Ora Mae Priess, Estelle Ross, Haril (Rita) Morris, and Earlene (Ronald) Bode. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Dovie and Elzie Morris, the father of her children, Gordon Danz, her siblings, Dorthy Dean Miller, Hubert Morris, Billy Morris and Charles (Boogie) Morris. In addition to her family, she was loved and adored by her many friends, and by her constant companion, Abby. She was very active within her community and served selflessly in various roles with Church of Christ in Mason. Mimi was a special, one-of-a-kind lady. She spent her entire life giving of herself to others with a joyful heart. Anyone who knew her knows that she was quite the character, assertive and told it like it is. It was impossible to know her and not love her. Many people would say that she made them feel like they were a part of her family almost instantly. She truly loved. Not just in a warm feeling kind of way, but in a hands and feet kind of way. It would be impossible to quantify the number of lives that Mimi has ministered to and blessed and how many will mourn her loss. She would feed us all, made beautiful quilts for all her family, and gave what wealth she had to support all causes. She always called, she always came, and she always cared despite the growing demands required by her aging body. She loved like this because she deeply loved our Lord Jesus Christ. Through our tears, we must all remember to smile at the absolute certainty that our beloved mom, Mim, Aunt Fae and friend is with her Savior and no longer held by bonds of earthly frailty. She is free, and we just know that she is happier and more alive that she has ever been. Let her passing from this Earth fill us with hope of our eternal home with our good Father and encourage us to live like Mimi did.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Mason Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. The service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 starting at the Gooch Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at Mason Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M.

Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice or the Mason County Courthouse Rebuilding Fund.
