Obituary

Aloise Kuykendall, formerly of Midland, passed away on Monday, October 12, at the age of 90. Mrs. Kuykendall is survived by her daughter Karen Kuykendall Collins and husband Scott of Trophy Club, Texas, two grandsons Tyler James Collins and Chase Allen Collins, both of Trophy Club and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Kuykendall; parents Alvin and Alma Eckert a son Reed Alan Kuykendall a grandson Timothy Scott Collins and two sisters Lucille Leach and Florene Hofmann.

She was born on January 1, 1925 at Katemcy in Mason County to Alvin Eckert and Alma Jordan Eckert. She was their middle child. Aloise attended school at Peter's Prairie and graduated from Brady High School in 1943. She married Victor Kuykendall in 1945. They resided briefly in Ozona before making Midland their home. They were married 55 years.

Aloise retired from Midland ISD. She was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was active in her Sunday school class, Keen Agers, and Meals on Wheels.

She enjoyed camping, ceramics and NASCAR. She also enjoyed watching her grandsons play baseball.

Visitation will be Friday morning, October 16, from 11 till 12 noon at Mason Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will follow at the Wagram Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
