Alfredo Torres, of Mason, passed away on Monday, November 11, at the age of 52. Mr. Torres is survived by his wife Beatrice Torres, of Mason, his children Alfredo Torres and wife Tasha, Loretta Chavaria and husband Ezekiel and Jeremy Hernandez, his father Joe Angel Torres of San Saba and 10 brothers and sisters: Yolanda Torres of Mason, Marie Lira of Mason, Daniel Torres and wife "Pury" of Iraan, Rosa Torres of Mason, Sylvia Torres of Mexico, Manuel Torres and wife Mary of Louisiana, Albert Torres and wife Ellie May of Oklahoma, Nick Torres of Brady, Raymond Torres of Mason and Ricky Torres of Mason and his mother-in-law Jesusa Palacio. He was preceded in death by his mother Estella Mendoza Torres, a son Lorenzo Hernandez, a daughter-in-law Cynthia Hernandez, two brothers Ruben Torres and Joe Angel Torres Jr and his father-in-law Alfred Palacio.

Visitation will start Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Mason Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel with J. D. Sanders leading the service. Burial will follow in the Crosby Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Torres, Manuel Torres, Albert Torres, John Lira, Ezekiel Chavarria and Sean Cunningham.

Alfredo was a hard-working man, but in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He worked the last four years for Strike Pipeline Company in west Texas Alfredo also loved to BBQ for friends and family and on his food he always had to have hot sauce. Of course, there was always time for his grandchildren that he loved so much. He had strong faith and attended Bible Baptist Church.
