Imogene Lange

Funeral Services were held at 10:00am Tuesday, April 17th, at the First Baptist Church in Mason with Pastor David Currie officiating. Burial followed in the Gooch Cemetery under the direction of Mason Funeral Home. Visitation with the family was Monday evening from 5pm to 8pm.
Imogene Lange was born September 23rd, 1929 in Mason County, Texas to Edger Leifeste, Sr. and Emma Shafer Leifeste. She was the youngest of three children. Her older brother was Edgar Leifeste Jr. and her sister is Mary Lou Lange of Mason. She was a 1947 graduate of Mason High School and a lifetime resident of Mason County.
She married Raymond Lange of Mason in 1947. They had two children Michael and Karen. Raymond and Imogene raised a family, farmed and ranched, and resided together in Mason County until his death in 1996.
Imogene was a faithful employee of Eckert Equipment Company in Mason and served as an administrative assistant and sales clerk to Buddy and Sue Eckert at the Ford dealership for nearly 31 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lange, a brother Edgar Leifeste Jr. and her daughter Karen Kothmann. Survivors include her sister Mary Lou Lange of Mason; son, Michael Lange and wife Deborah K. of Art; grandson Mackey Lange and wife Maura of Mountain Home; grandson Jody and wife Luwanna of Harper; granddaughter Brandi Johnson and husband Beau of Brady; grandson Kash Kothmann of Lubbock; granddaughter Krysta Kothmann of College Station; numerous nieces and nephews and three great grandchildren, Gage Lange, Cutter Johnson and Aizley Johnson.
Pallbearers are Michael Lange, Keesie Kothmann, Mackey Lange, Jody Lange, Beau Johnson, Kash Kothmann, Gage Lange and Cutter Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Wayne Priess, Jimmie Lange, Mark Lange, Fritz Leifeste, Rae Leifeste and Cole Leifeste.
Memorials in her honor may be made to The American Cancer Society, Gooch Cemetery Association, Mason County EMS or to the charity of one’s choice.
